Inspiring & Connecting Women in Business
Oh hello Spring!
The months have passed so quickly this year and thoughts of Christmas have started arising. What will our celebrations will be like in 2020? It’s difficult to count on much other than plans with close friends and family. And by close, we literally mean, close! Any plans for visits from interstate relatives or overseas trips will have to wait until, well, who knows when?!
All we can do is appreciate what we do have and make the best of it! Maybe by encouraging us to focus on what’s close by and right in front of us, we will have a new found appreciation for things we’ve failed to see before.
This month, the CBWC board have been concentrating on the club’s Christmas Lunch celebrations. It’s been a mammoth task to say the least! How do you plan an event when our circumstances are so uncertain? With so many unknowns, we need a plan A… and B… and C… and… ok well let’s hope we don’t need any more than that!
If there’s ever a year where we can all come together and support each other it’s 2020. We’re working on offering some fantastic events in trying circumstances and the board are all doing their best to make our functions memorable and fun.
In a perfect world, we would have solutions that would make everyone happy, but we’ve had to make some tough decisions this year and know that all we can do is accept what we cant change and make the best of what we have.
The sad news came a few weeks ago that the difficult decision was made to cancel the 2020 awards. This wasn’t an easy decision, but in these circumstances we just couldn’t possibly give all nominees the grand celebration they so rightly deserve. We hope to move forward with the 2021 awards and all nominees for this year have been invited to transfer their nominations to 2021.
We have appreciated the continual support, reassurance and cheerleading from those around us to help us get through these difficult and trying times.
Our doors (aka emails) are always open for feedback, suggestions and ideas and we encourage anyone to get in touch!
You know what they say, ‘Be the change’.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 15

This event is a special one, as we will be raising money for the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal. This year has not been an easy one for any of us, and we want to help those who need it.
We won’t be selling raffle tickets online for this event, you will need to purchase them on the day. This is because the raffles will be having 100% of the proceeds donated to the appeal.
There will also be a bit of fun with some Business Speed Networking. So make sure you’re on time to participate!

CBWC is committed to delivering valuable benefits and a positive partnership experience for our sponsors.
The club works tirelessly to bring our community great networking and informative events all year round, however these wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of the local business community.
Each year we offer a range of club sponsorships for businesses to be a part of.
The following annual sponsorships are available for 2020:
Diamond Sponsor (6 available)
Gold Sponsor (In-kind)
Silver Sponsor (In-kind)
On top of the annual sponsorships we also offer event sponsorships for our individual events such as our lunches and Business & Bubbles
These partnerships are also highly beneficial to your business as your logo will feature on our website, socials, newsletters, event presentations and more.
We think partnering with us is a win win! If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please let us know.
